The county fair in late summer
The text, mistakes revealed
Here is the text as players saw it, with its 5 mistakes highlighted and corrected.
The county fair always arrived in late August when the heat was still heavy. I walked with my closest freindfriend to see the giant pumpkins and ride the Ferris wheel. It became quickly apparantapparent that the evening crowds were much larger than last year. We stood in line for thirty fivethirty-five minutes just to buy a warm funnel cake. After we had drankhad drunk our sweet iced lemonades, we headed toward the livestock barns. We wanted to watch the famous womens'women's pie-eating contest before the sun went down. We searched for two empty seats on the wooden bleachers, but neither of them was available.

The traps in this round
-
freind →friend
I before e in "friend".
-
apparant →apparent
"Apparent" doubles the p and ends in -ent.
-
thirty five →thirty-five
Compound numbers take a hyphen.
-
had drank →had drunk
The past participle of "drink" is "drunk".
-
womens' →women's
"Women" is already plural, so the apostrophe comes before the s.
