The daily spelling trap
The Trap
One sentence with a blank, two ways to fill it, ten seconds to decide. One trap a day, the same for everyone, free, with no account to create.
The rule
You read the sentence, you pick the spelling that belongs in the blank, and the answer appears at once with a short explanation. There is a third button, Both are correct, and it is there every day: some days both forms really are accepted, and spotting it is the whole point. Nothing tells you which day that is.
Every trap is checked against American, British, Canadian and Australian usage. A spelling that is right in one of them is never counted wrong.
After you answer
You see the share of players who got it, and you can dare a friend: the message gives away neither the sentence nor the answer, so they have to come and play. Members can then keep going with unlimited past traps.
